SF Lovin’

Despite Jeff and I living out of a few pieces of luggage while we stay at The Dirksen’s house until we find a place to live, I have to admit that we are days up here so far have been beyond pleasant. The beautiful weather has helped smooth over our transition, the hiking, wine tasting and exploring have put us over the edge of bliss. Having a difficult time finding a place to call home in this city is certainly outweighed by the endless opportunities up here. Most importantly, we wouldn’t be here and be so content if it wasn’t for The Dirksen Family. They have provided a place for us to stay until we settle on a place of our own, with no questions asked. They are incredibly generous, kind, comforting and loving. How can we ever redeem ourselves, how can we show our gratitude toward such amazing friends? How are we so lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives?

Game Changer

I woke up one morning and my life took a drastic turn—Jeff and I moved to San Francisco and we are building a new nest up here that is cozy, charming and very exciting. Our decision was made quickly and the move within a blink of an eye, but I can’t complain—we have arrived in a thriving city that is full of the kind of energy that I crave. While we have left so many wonderful loved ones back in our hometown of Los Angeles, we couldn’t have asked for such a supportive group of friends up here. They have taken amazing care of us.

Thanks to so many loyal and fabulous fans in LA, I plan to have lilikoi be based in both Los Angeles and San Francisco. Why not keep the love in LA and spread some up here? So, let the studio hunt begin!

Here’s the view from our soon-to-be apartment. Lovely, isn’t it?

Here we go again!

While 2011 was plenty good to us—I couldn’t be more thrilled for 2012. There are so many changes ahead I can hardly contain myself and can’t wait to share them with you, however, I’d like to take this time to thank YOU. Yes, you.
I have so much love and support from family and friends and receive so much praise from all our clients—without YOU, I wouldn’t be able to do what I love. Without your appreciation for our creativity, craftsmanship and hard work we put into our handmade products, without the appreciation of letterpress that we all share—we wouldn’t be able to keep such a special, original art alive. I am grateful for all your comments/feedback/praise and each one of you who has spread the word and the love. Thank you, thank you!
