I’m in love

It’s official. I’m in love with San Francisco. Although, I do have to admit—this unusually gorgeous weather helps. I’d like to think we brought a a bit of sunshine with us from Los Angeles. To everyone in San Francisco… you’re welcome. Anyway, we are really loving our new city. Especially the food. I feel so inspired to cook with a more simplistic approach due to the fact that we are completely spoiled up here with incredibly fresh, locally grown/raised foods. For Valentine’s Day we kept it simple and intimate. We cooked at home and opened a bottle of red wine we received as a wedding gift from our dear friends Dave and Christine. Our menu included: avocado and crab salad with lemon dressing and maldon salt to start, followed by seared scallops topped with green olive tapenade, paired with a green salad. Acme bread for Jeff and Mariposa bread for me!
